“I want to receive things I bought online in Japan before my temporary trip home.” “I want to leave my moving boxes somewhere until I find a new place to live.” In cases like these, we receive your parcels at MyLetter.jp’s Japanese address, store them, and forward them.
Mail and small parcels are simply stored
- With plans such as the Basic Plan, we hold mail for 21 days (please ask us about extensions)
- We notify you of arrivals in your member screen (Mybox) and by email
- Timed to your return home or arrival in Japan, we can also forward items to where you are staying (a hotel, your family home, etc.)
Large cardboard boxes: the “Large Parcel Storage Option”
Large cardboard boxes, such as moving boxes sent from overseas, are held with the “Large Parcel Storage Option”, available only for the Ginza address.
- Boxes up to 160 cm in total of three sides, up to 3 boxes
- Storage for up to 3 months
- Option fee of 990 yen per month plus storage fees (1st box 110 yen/day, 2nd box 100 yen/day, 3rd box 90 yen/day)
- Storage fees are charged per day, starting the day after the parcel arrives
For details, see About the Large Parcel Storage Option.
How it works
- Sign up and verify your identity (submit ID documents)
- Ship your items with our Japanese address (including your Box number) as the delivery address
- When they arrive, we notify you in your member screen, and you give forwarding instructions to match your return home or arrival in Japan
If you tell us the expected arrival date, the number of boxes, and when you want them forwarded through an inquiry, we can prepare for receiving them more smoothly.
