There are two kinds of nicknames: “fixed nicknames” and “additional nicknames.” One fixed nickname is free. You can add as many additional nicknames as you like at 330 yen (tax included) per nickname per month.
Notes on using nicknames
You can register the following as nicknames.
- Pen name
- Handle name
- Maiden name
- Family members’ names
- Organization or trade name (unincorporated)
*As for how the recipient name is written, if it is clearly the same name as the one you registered, we can accept mail even if it is written in kanji, hiragana, katakana or English, or differs in upper and lower case.
*Nicknames that include “Co., Ltd.” (kabushiki kaisha), “Yugen Kaisha” or “Godo Kaisha” are prohibited. Please register them only if you use the Business Plan.
*Even if a name that is already registered as a nickname appears, if another name that is not registered also appears, we ask you to register that name as a new nickname.
*With automatic forwarding, mail addressed to different nicknames cannot be combined. If several items arrive, they are bundled and forwarded per recipient.
How to register a nickname
After logging in to MYBOX, you can add a fixed nickname or additional nicknames from [Nickname].
*Once a fixed nickname is set, it cannot be deleted or changed.
You can also delete additional nicknames from [Nickname]. Please use [Request deletion] to the right of the nickname you want to delete.
*An additional nickname for which you request deletion can be used until the end of the month.
*Items that arrive from the following month on will be discarded or returned, so please be careful. (If return shipping costs arise, they are charged to you.)
